Practical career guidance for adults 35+ · U.S. launch edition Source-first

About Second Act Trades

Second Act Trades helps adults make practical career decisions after 35. We compare skilled-trade and technical careers using the questions that matter before a transition: training time, realistic cost, pay progression, licensing, schedules, mobility, physical demands, and the possibility of self-employment.

The site is published by NET STUDIO LLC. Our editorial approach is grounded in clearly identified sources, dated checks, and honest explanations of uncertainty. We do not promise a salary, a job offer, or a result for any individual reader.

The perspective behind the site

Chriss R. is an industrial engineering and maintenance engineer who later moved into building trades, following his father’s path as a building contractor. After his father’s retirement, he took over the practical side of the business and gradually moved toward estimating, project follow-up, and business management from a computer-based office.

His experience also includes training in computer maintenance and IT services, teaching, mechanics, electronics, cooking, entrepreneurship, and online conferences. The disruption caused by COVID-19 accelerated the move toward online training and remote services through NET STUDIO LLC.

Second Act Trades grows from that varied background: a second act does not have to erase the skills, responsibilities, or lessons acquired in the first one.
